Ponchatoula Louisiana
Ponchatoula, Louisiana, known as the “Strawberry Capital of the World,” is a charming little town that also happens to be known as “Antique City.”
Getting There
Ponchatoula is about a 45-minute drive from Baton Rouge or New Orleans. It is located just a few minutes south of Hammond when you are driving on Interstate 55.

- Downtown – This is a small town and a great place to stroll down Main Street and discover unique shops, antique stores, and art galleries.

The Collinswood School Museum –Â Learn more about the history of this town as you view early household and Native American artifacts, antique quilts, and furnishings, and enjoy the outdoor garden.

- Ponchatoula Antique Trade Days – Arts & Crafts Fair – Held twice each year, this event features antiques, arts and crafts, and live music.
- Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival – If you’re in town during the annual Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, held every April, be sure to join in the fun. Residents and visitors can enjoy live music, arts and crafts, and many strawberry-themed foods.
